1. Order BEFORE Rush Season
It's best to order your mix early in the season before the rush comes in. It typically takes 5-7 days to create a mix so you want to
make sure you plan ahead and order your mix with plenty of time, just incase any adjustments need to be made. I can't tell you how many times I've had stressed out coaches come to me with 3 days
to make a mix and the only way to make it happen is to make it a rush order which costs an extra $100. So to save money and your hair from turning grey, make sure to order with plenty of
time.
2. Have your music selected ahead of time
With the new music rules put in place it is best to know which songs you want to use before hand. This is because it costs $20 per track in
the mix. If you decide you want to change a song or add one later, we would have to pay the additional licensing fee. If you don't have a preference on music you can simply have your producer
choose for you.
3. Have an (accurate) 8 count sheet
If you are working with an 8 count sheet it is best to have it set before starting on your mix. This will save a lot of time and money
of going back and forth with any revisions. For a tutorial on how to fill out an 8 count sheet feel free to watch this video:
